Rebecca Fairweather, MA, RCC
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (Reg # 13178). I have a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, a BA in Child and Youth Care and a diploma in First Nations Child and Youth Care. I have completed post graduate work in body-oriented trauma therapy, working with early attachment injuries, Indigenous cultural safety, OCD, and cognitive behavioral therapy.
I work primarily with trauma healing, LGBTQIA2+ identifying folks including diverse relationships, gender identity and sexuality. I have completed trainings in working with Indigenous communities in a culturally safe, trauma informed way. I also work with anxiety/OCD, addictions, and disordered eating.
I have had a diverse career on Vancouver Island working with children, youth, and families. I have worked as a family support worker, clinical mental health therapist, Indigenous youth outreach counsellor, and addictions counsellor in residential treatment. My approach is rooted in connection, compassion, and enhancing individual strengths.
